The Woodlands, TX – National civil engineering and surveying firm Manhard Consulting has added an internal survey division to its Houston-area office, located in The Woodlands, and has appointed Paul Bretherton, RPLS, to lead the new team as Survey Division Manager.

Bretherton will be responsible for overseeing all field and staff surveyors while providing review and oversight for all local land development projects.  Manhard deploys local survey expertise within all of its 11 regional offices, allowing for their nationwide network to collaborate and provide local assistance and support to clients, as needed.

“With the addition of our internal survey division to operate within the Houston area, we are now providing services across all civil engineering disciplines,” stated Don Manhard, Jr., president and CEO of Manhard Consulting.  “Paul will head that division to help expand all of Manhard’s services locally.  As a long-time resident of Texas, his expertise and industry knowledge will greatly benefit our clients.”

Prior to joining Manhard, Bretherton served in multiple industry leadership roles, including survey division manager, and most recently president of Bretco, LLC.  A construction management graduate from the University of Houston, Bretherton is a licensed surveyor with more than 25 years of experience managing projects for boundary and topographic surveys, platting and construction layout.
