Vernon Hills, IL – Manhard Consulting, a full-service civil engineering, surveying and land planning firm, has promoted James D’Alexander, PE, to associate vice president.  D’Alexander will be based in the Lombard, Illinois office.

As associate vice president, D’Alexander will be responsible for identifying strategic growth opportunities and driving business development efforts in all markets, with an emphasis on residential, commercial and industrial.  D’Alexander will also continue in his capacity as senior project manager for Manhard Consulting, where he manages a team through all phases of projects for a wide variety of clients in land development.

D’Alexander began his career as a staff engineer for Cowhey, Gudmundson and Leder (CGL).  After Manhard acquired CGL, he continued in the position of project manager and quickly rose to senior project manager.  His 12-year career brings vast experience in understanding the development process and working with clients to achieve successful projects.

D’Alexander received a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Iowa State University.
