VERNON HILLS, IL–  Peter Manhard, P.E., has been appointed to serve as president of the Board of Directors of the Lake County Transportation Alliance (LCTA).  LCTA’s Board of Directors includes representatives from a variety of organizations spanning local government, economic development, private industry and labor organizations.

The LCTA is a public-private advocacy group created to raise awareness and build consensus on development and implementation of short and long-term transportation goals and objectives in Lake County, Illinois. The group works to influence the application of local, county, state, federal and private resources to mitigate the traffic congestion impacting Lake County’s residents and businesses. Areas of interest include highways, commuter rail, bus transit, freight, air service, and bikeways.

Peter will serve as president for a one-year term.
