Site Considerations
• Over one-half mile in length, the entire artery needed to remain open during all phases of construction.

• Site design included street lights, traffic signals, restriping and turn lanes, all part of a heavily traveled suburban corridor.

• The timeline was tight, driven by the pre-scheduled opening of a nearby regional mall, which would increase flow in a corridor that was already heavily congested with retail traffic.

• The corridor crosses multiple jurisdictions, requiring a lengthy permitting and review process with State highway and county agencies.
