THE WOODLANDS, TX – (January 10, 2016) – Manhard Consulting, a leading civil engineering and surveying firm, today announced the opening of their new office located in The Woodlands to support the growth of the greater Houston community which is expected to increase from 6.6 million residents to nearly 12 million by 2040. As community development initiatives, like the City Council’s “Plan Houston,” continue to be adopted, Manhard and its full-service, national network of civil engineers, planners and surveyors will provide expertise in enhancing neighborhoods and the rapidly growing public infrastructure, including municipal and special districts, to the greater Houston metro area.

Focused on supporting the growth initiatives throughout the greater Houston metro area, Manhard Consulting has assembled a team of over 20 engineers and technical staff, supported by a national network of licensed engineers, surveyors and planners.  The team is in place to help invigorate the development of residential neighborhoods, as well as retail, commercial, healthcare, educational and recreations areas. Manhard, a top U.S. design firm in 2016, according to Engineering News-Record, utilizes its nationwide network of offices to collaborate and leverage complementary skillsets, eliminate project bottlenecks and lower clients’ costs.

“Growing a great American city into one of the elite American cities – the direction in which Houston is surely headed – doesn’t happen by osmosis,” said Donald Manhard, Jr. President and CEO of Manhard Consulting. “The next level of growth that Houston is beginning to experience is a result of dedicated planning and vision. We’re here to help this community build the infrastructure – facilities for healthcare, education, retail, warehousing, parks and recreation, and, of course, residential and industrial use – necessary for realizing such a grand vision.”

The newly assembled management team for Manhard’s Houston office, led by Thomas Stroh, PE, convenes over 70 years of industry experience that serves public and private clients throughout Texas. In addition to Stroh, who is the company’s Texas Regional Manager, Manhard’s Houston senior team is comprised of industry veterans Clayton C. Chabannes, PE; Mike W. Christopher, PE; Jimmy B. Dautrich, PE; and Ryan Wade, PE.

“We’re providing an incredibly skilled and experienced program to support the ongoing development of the greater Houston metro area,” said Stroh. “As half of our local staff consists of licensed engineers with an average of over 12 years of experience in Texas, and the backing of a national staff of over 230, we feel we have a solid foundation to help this area grow.”

The greater Houston area office is located at 2445 Technology Forest Blvd. in The Woodlands. The office is the tenth in Manhard’s national network, which also includes offices in California, Colorado, Illinois, Nevada and North Dakota.  For more information about Manhard Consulting or its Houston office, please visit www.manhard.com.
