Reno Lumber was expanding their business to the Carson City area and needed a new building and site to both store and display their product. The new, 2,500 s.f. office building and accompanying storage yard was designed and engineered to meet their needs. Manhard Consulting’s structural design team was brought in to provide the client with full architectural and engineering services of the new office building.
The design of the office building incorporated exposed heavy timber framing and connections at the exterior deck and in the front entrance to the building. The overall building construction was conventional wood-framing with a trussed roof for the building and a heavy timber framed roof supported by exposed timber posts for the exterior deck at the front of the building.
